Nationality & Qualification
Indian Citizen or permitted categories. Bachelor’s Degree from recognized University. Distance learning only if UGC-DEB approved. Final year students can apply (degree must be obtained by 01-08-2026).

Tier-I (CBT) | 200 Marks | 1 Hour
4 sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning (25Q), General Awareness (25Q), Quant Aptitude (25Q), English Comprehension (25Q) | Negative marking: 0.50 per wrong.
Tier-II (CBT) – Paper-I (Compulsory), Paper-II (JSO), Paper-III (AAO)
Paper-I: Section-I (Maths + Reasoning) 60Q/180M, Section-II (English + GA) 70Q/210M, Section-III (Computer Knowledge – qualifying), Section-IV (Data Entry Speed Test – qualifying). Negative marking 1 mark for wrong in Sec-I/II. Tier-II duration: Session-I: 2h15min + Session-II: 15min DEST.
Paper-II (Statistics): 100 questions, 200 marks (for JSO/Statistical Investigator). Paper-III (Finance/Economics): 100 Q, 200 marks (AAO/AACO).
- Step 1: Visit official SSC website ssc.gov.in or mY SSC mobile app.
- Step 2: Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) – use Aadhaar based authentication for faster processing.
- Step 3: Fill Common Application Form (CAF), capture live photograph, upload signature (JPEG, 10-20KB).
- Step 4: Select exam region, three centre preferences, post preferences carefully.
- Step 5: Pay ₹100 (if applicable) via BHIM UPI/Net Banking/Card before 23 June 2026.
- Step 6: Preview & submit. Correction window: 29 June – 1 July 2026 (chargeable).
⚠️ Keep printout of application & documents for 3 years. Aadhaar-authenticated candidates get exemption from photo/signature rejection.

📈 Competition level: High-demand posts need top scores. Tier-I acts as major filter. Tier-II becomes post-specific (JSO/AAO). Physical standards mandatory for Inspector & SI posts. DEST & Computer Knowledge Test qualifying but critical for premium posts like CSS, MEA.
❗ Who should NOT apply? Candidates without Bachelor’s degree by 01-08-2026, age criteria mismatch, OBC creamy layer without valid certificate, non-matriculate ex-servicemen, candidates not ready for physical standards for inspector posts.
✅ Avoid mistakes: Fresh OTR on new website, live photo capture, correct signature size, post-specific preference before final locking, correction window usage, not waiting till last date.
