The Bihar State University Service Commission (BSUSC), Patna has released Notification No. BSUSC/CAP-01 to 06/2026 dated 3 July 2026 for the recruitment of 3,674 Contractual Faculty (Assistant Professor) posts across various universities of Bihar, including 211 newly constituted Rajkiya Degree Colleges.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Master's degree with 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC-NCL/EBC-NCL/PwD of Bihar).
- Must have qualified NET (UGC/CSIR) OR hold a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (exempted from NET).
- Ph.D. from foreign university ranked in top 500 (QS/THE/ARWU) also eligible.
- Only one Bachelor's and one Master's degree in the core/allied subject must be filled.
Age Limit (as on 1 Aug 2026)
- Minimum 21 years, maximum 43 years. Relaxation as per Bihar Govt norms.

💰 Salary / Remuneration
Monthly remuneration = minimum monthly gross salary (Basic + DA) of a regularly appointed Assistant Professor at entry level.

Interview-cum-Demonstration (12 Marks)
- Teaching Skills: 6 marks
- Interaction with Board: 6 marks
Shortlisting: 1:3 ratio per vacancy.
Merit list prepared on total marks. Tie-breaker: higher academic marks → older candidate → Devnagari alphabetical order.
